  • Y’all, we had hit a rhythm with the kids and sleeping, and within the last week it all went to you-know-where. Never a dull moment, am I right? • It’s TIPS AND TRICKS TUESDAY over here (trying something new) so here’s today’s fun fact. Glass bottles are a fun and easy way to add plants and centerpieces to dining/coffee/bedside tables around our house. The thing is, they tend to cost a pretty penny. Not over-the-top expensive, but in my opinion paying $25-$40 for a glass bottles is a little cray and totally outside our budget. The fix? The grocery and liquor store. • No joke. The bottle on the right in this photo is from Hobby Lobby. The one on the left is an apple juice jug that I cleaned out once the juice was gone. No kidding! • The same goes for wine bottles. We have quite a few Barefoot brand bottles that I’ve saved after the contents are gone. Remove the stickers with soap and water and voila! • Now if you don’t drink wine or apple juice, I’m not sure I’ve found a fix just yet but if you do, it’s a win!   • I still haven’t quite figured out where this round frame will live, but it came from my grandmother’s house and I’m determined to give it a good home. Her china cabinet will be coming soon as well, and I’m crazy excited to have some extra storage in the dining room. Our kitchen is tiny and overflowing with dishes and appliances, so the extra space will definitely be welcome. • In the meantime, any thoughts as to how I should style this round frame?   • Do y’all love this brand as much as I do!?! This is the new hardware I used on the changing table (except in oil-rubbed bronze), and they were clearanced our at Target when I snagged them. It’s hard to beat $1 drawer pulls. The leather carrying case was also on clearance, and back at Christmastime I snagged two rolls of wallpaper (which of course I used as wrapping paper) for next to nothing.   • We had Papa’s life celebration today making these candlesticks all the more special. He’s happy now, playing the piano in Heaven I’m sure. • We may have left him at the cemetery, but we brought home fond memories and plants representative of his life and legacy.   • Don’t be fooled. My four-year-old’s room only looks like this when she sleeps over at someone’s house, but we moved her bed to make room for the playhouse she got for Christmas and I kind of love it!   • Y’all, I’m raising a tiny photographer. Seriously, she took over half the photos on my current “photos to share” list, but naturally had to pose for a few, too, like this one. She’s growing into very much her won person, and while I’m not feeling ready for it, I love that she’s got an independent streak.
