Hi, y’all! Welcome to SLB! I’m Jess – wife to an incredible husband, mama to a beautiful little girl and undeserving child of a grace-giving God. My passions are decorating, building, sign making, vintage shopping, coffee drinking, photography and music. Living in the beautiful state of Kentucky, it’s easy to get inspired, and I absolutely love sharing DIYs, decorating tips, life hacks and all the other lovely things here! 

Why SLB?

In Matthew 5:13-16, we are called to be salt and light, ambassadors for Christ who provide the flavor and light of His love to the world. Every day, we are called to let our lives be a reflection of Christ and our lights “so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Of course, I’m not perfect by a long shot, and while my days are full of worship, they are also full of being a wife and mama, working, hobbies, frustrations, successes, ideas and failures. Enter Salt & Life, a sneak peek into my busy life and my way of giving back, being the salt, and sharing what I’m learning!
